Fort Lauderdale, FL — National Reach
Serving commercial clients throughout the United States through Cothrom Risk & Insurance Services.

AMA stands for Aviation, Marine, Aerospace— the three industries I’ve built my entire practice around. I lead this work through Cothrom Risk & Insurance Services.

Bryce is a U.S. Navy Veteran, ADCI member, and commercial insurance broker focused on high-consequence marine, aviation, aerospace, and specialty commercial accounts.

My work focuses on businesses where technical operations, contracts, equipment, people, products, and policy wording all have to line up correctly. I help clients identify coverage issues, sharpen underwriting submissions, target specialty markets, and structure insurance programs around how the business actually operates.

My practice includes marine operators, waterfront contractors, marinas, shipyards, aviation businesses, aerospace manufacturers, defense-adjacent companies, logistics firms, specialty manufacturers, and other high-consequence commercial accounts.

Why Clients Work With Me

Credentials that matter in specialty insurance.

Anyone can quote a policy. Not every broker is comfortable reviewing marine forms, diving-related operational standards, aviation wording, or aerospace contract requirements from an insurance-program perspective. Here is what I bring to the table.

U.S. Navy Veteran

I know marine and diving operations from the inside. That credibility matters when I’m reviewing coverage for commercial diving, waterfront work, and vessel operations.

ADCI Member

Active member of the Association of Diving Contractors International — connected to the standards, safety practices, and professional community that govern commercial diving worldwide.

Active in South Florida Marine Industry

I show up. MIASF, Fort Lauderdale Mariners Club, FMCA — I’m in the same rooms as the operators, contractors, and business owners I advise.

Specialty Focus Across Marine / Aviation / Aerospace

My practice is built around the accounts most generalist brokers avoid — complex operations, technical equipment, regulatory overlap, and high-consequence failure points.

Policy Wording, Submissions & Negotiation

I don’t just quote. I review wording line-by-line, build underwriting submissions that tell the real story, and negotiate with markets that actually write the class.

Big 'I' Best Practices Agency

Cothrom Risk & Insurance Services is listed as a Big 'I' Best Practices Agency, a program associated with the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and Reagan Consulting.

Fort Lauderdale Advantage

I don’t just insure marine and aviation operations — I live in the middle of them.

  • Mega-yacht capital of the world
  • Port Everglades — one of the busiest cruise and cargo ports in the U.S.
  • FLL, OPF, FXE — three major aviation hubs in one metro
  • Gateway to Caribbean and Latin American markets

Fort Lauderdale sits at the center of one of the largest marine and aviation corridors in the Americas.

My Philosophy
“Insurance should be built around your operation — not the other way around.”

Most brokers start with a form and try to make your operation fit inside it. I start with your operation — your contracts, your equipment, your people, your regulatory environment — and build coverage structure around that reality.

That means reading policy wording line-by-line. It means knowing which markets actually write marine hull, aviation products liability, or defense-adjacent errors & omissions. It means understanding that a Jones Act exclusion or an ITAR clause isn’t fine print — it’s the difference between coverage and a denial.

My job is not to sell you insurance. My job is to make sure your insurance does its job when you need it.
